Despite never being released as a single, clued-up DJs have long known the real standout track off Valle’s self-titled release from 1983, aside from the more hyped "Estrelar", is “Naturalmente”. On his fully licensed remix, Joutro Mundo nudges the tempo up ever so slightly while still staying well within the realm of chuggy, cosmic bliss. In fact, his stripped-down arrangement, characterized by crisp hats, reverberating claps and filtered chords, only enhances this vibe. The sparseness of the new arrangement allows Lincoln Olivetti’s rubbery Mini Moog bass line to take centerstage, bouncing the listener along on a tropical breeze as a female's voice weaves in and out of swirling solar flares of synth sounds. The energy level is bumped up halfway through via the introduction of Valle’s Brazilan scat-style vocals ridding overtop uplifting chords and a more urgent yet equally blissful bass line, creating a sense of euphoric release on the dance floor. With a deep respect for the original, Joutro Mundo has turned an 80s Brazilian masterpiece into a modern balearic classic... naturally.
