Onda Boa is a label focused on releasing fully-licensed Brazilian music from established artists as well as obscure names, including new Brazilian producers, bringing together a mix of edits, remixes and original material.

The first release contains reworks of two tracks by the renowned multi-instrumentalist, Marcos Valle: renaissance artist of Brazilian bossa jazz funk. Marcos is a composer, arranger, lyricist and singer, recognized and respected internationally.

The chosen tracks from the musician's repertoire that were remixed are the brilliantly captivating “A Paraíba Não É Chicago” and “Naturalmente”. Both capture your attention from the first beat... heavy doses of boogie composed around 1981, the golden era of the style in Brazil, re-worked for modern dancefloors.

The album cover – the stylized image of a Buriti, a typical Brazilian palm tree, matches the label's tropical motif. It was designed by the graffiti and fine artist, Toz, famous for his art scattered around the walls of the city of Rio de Janeiro.

The Buriti is one of the riches of the Brazilian cerrado and the Amazon rainforest. Aside from the fruit, the tree provides raw materials for handicrafts, drawing a parallel to the label's concept; to release tracks from diverse styles while always staying true to their Brazilian DNA.
